We liked how Lucy encouraged them to tell more about themselves in their writing. She focused on process not product. We liked how she tied the picture into the writing to get details. She ties litature into mini lessons, however there could be more book titiles available.

What questions do you have for Mark Overmeyer?

The struggling kid? The ELL learners. The ones that can't stay on task? How do we meet the huge gammet of levels we have in Kindergarten? Conference effectively and keep others on task? Are there spacific books for Kindergarten, and is there another list of books to use with writing?

How does your team plan on implementing Units of Study?

A page at a time, just jump in and do it. We will disscuss progress, what is working/not working at weekly team meetings.

What do you need from Mary Ellen/Liz?

Micki needs a set of the "Units of Study" She has not recieved a set. Support and feedback. Help with struggling writers. Being in the classroom during Writers' Workshop to give ideas and feedback.
